Yes, the nucleus undergoes division during the M phase of the cell cycle. During mitosis, the nucleus undergoes a series of steps to ensure proper segregation of chromosomes. These steps include chromosome condensation, alignment, separation of chromosomes and ultimately the division of a single nucleus into two identical daughter nuclei during the mitotic phase. At the end of mitosis, a nuclear envelope is newly produced around each set of chromosome.
