Posted July 9, 2024

Answer

The FDA has approved CAR T cell therapies for treating various types of blood cancers. One type is B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It is also used to treat multiple myeloma. Additionally, various subtypes of B cell lymphomas such as high-grade B cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma, and primary mediastinal large B cell lymphoma can be treated with CAR T-cell therapy.  B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in children and young adults up to age 25 can also be treated with this therapy.
