What is spectral imaging?

Spectral imaging combines traditional imaging and spectroscopy to capture both spatial and spectral details of an object or sample simultaneously. It's categorized as multispectral (sampling fewer than 20 bands) or hyperspectral (sampling more than 20 bands).
