Answer
CD45 is a marker of all hematopoietic cells except platelets and red blood cells (mature erythrocytes). CD45, a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase, is a signaling molecule that regulates many cellular processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and more. It is an essential regulator of B and T cell antigen receptor signaling.
