What can osteogenic cells differentiate into?
Posted June 17, 2024
Answer
Osteogenic cells are undifferentiated bone cells or precursor cells. They are also known as osteoprogenitor cells. In response to a stimulus such as bone injury or damage, osteogenic cells divide and differentiate into osteoblasts, which are a type of bone-forming cell. Osteoblasts further give rise to other bone cells such as osteocytes and bone lining cells.
