What are the limitations of spectral imaging technique?

Answer
In spectral imaging, signal intensity is typically reduced compared to non-spectral systems due to the dispersion of light required for separating and detecting individual wavelengths. As a result, spectral imagers often exhibit lower signal-to-noise ratios or require longer image acquisition times. Another limitation is that these longer acquisition times can be challenging for live-cell imaging of events or samples susceptible to rapid photobleaching.
