Answer
Some common examples of weak bases include: ammonia (NH3), methylamine (CH3NH2), sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), and diethylamine (CH3CH2)2NH. The definition of a weak base is a base that only partially dissociates in a solution. If it is less than 100% ionized in solution it is defined as a weak base. Some common examples of strong bases include: potassium hydroxide (KOH), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), barium hydroxide (Ba(OH)2), and lithium hydroxide (LiOH). A strong base is defined as a base that is 100% ionized in a solution. All strong bases are also OH compounds.
