Eukaryotic cells are identified by the presence of a membrane-bound nucleus that contains the genetic material. They may be unicellular or multicellular. All animals, plants, and fungi are multicellular eukaryotic cells. Yeasts and amoeba are examples of unicellular eukaryotic cells.
