What are polymeric micelles?

Posted August 22, 2024

Answer

Polymeric micelles (PMs) are micelles that are formed from amphiphilic macromolecules (large molecules) found in solution instead of small molecules as with traditional micelles. They are more stable in dilute solutions due to their larger hydrophobic blocks, which results in lower CMC values and higher stability in dilute solutions.
