Answer
Lymphocytes are white blood cells that play a crucial role in helping the body’s immune system fight foreign pathogens, infection, and cancer. There are three types of lymphocytes – T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, and natural killer cells. The three types are similar in appearance but varied in function. Together, they are involved in the production of antibodies, immune response regulation, and direct cell-mediated killing of tumor and virus-infected cells.
