How are monoclonal antibodies made?

Answer
Monoclonal antibodies are derived from a single B cell clone and are all of the same isotype and specificity. They are produced using traditional hybridoma-based technology. The production process involves fusing an antibody-producing B cell and a myeloma cell. This produces an immortal cell population that continues to generate the specific antibody that was produced by the original B cell.
