Answer
Organotypic culture is a technique in which samples of complex tissues or organs are collected from an organism, and artificially perpetuated in a controlled environment in an effort to retain the basic structural organization and functionality of their organ of origin. In recent years, organotypic culture has emerged as a promising technique for the analysis of tissue behavior ex vivo.
