ReadiPrep™ Ni-TED Magnetic Agarose Beads

Ni-TED magnetic agarose beads streamline the purification of His-tagged proteins in a manner analogous to Ni-NTA.

This resin consists of magnetic agarose covalently attached to Ni-TED (Nickel - Tris(carboxymethyl)ethylene diamine). This allows the binding of recombinant proteins carrying the polyhistidine (6xHis) tag with high specificity and affinity. Once bound, other proteins can be washed away, after which His-tagged proteins can be recovered with an elution buffer.

Ni-TED magnetic agarose beads are provided as a 25% slurry. The binding capacity is greater than 10 mg of His-tagged protein per 1 mL of settled beads. High quality manufacturing protocols ensure minimal lot-to-lot variability, and the ready-to-use format satisfies both small and large scale purification needs. Compared with conventional purification methods, magnetic agarose beads do not require centrifugation, thereby reducing hands-on time.
