Heparan sulfate has demonstrated use in a wide range of applications, especially in the field of biotechnology. It has been widely used in the application of key cellular activities such as anti-inflammatory activities and antiresorption activities, specifically in cell-lines like escort cells, Purkinje cells and 293-EBNA cells. It, moreover, has a variety of applications in the examination of key biological diseases like neurodegenerative disease, respiratory disease and aging-associated diseases, and it has been widely used in the study of important cell-based receptors such as phagocytic receptors and Dpp receptors.
