Antibodies and Proteomics
Proteomics is the study of all of the proteins produced and processed by a system, collectively called the proteome. Research includes everything from protein expression and interactions, to involvement in cellular pathways and post-translational modification. Of all of the proteins commonly studied, antibodies are perhaps the most used and adapted in biological research. Due to their ability to selectively bind to specific targets (called antigens), labeled antibodies are a core component of experimental procedures ranging from Western blot to IHC and ELISAs.
AAT Bioquest offers a comprehensive catalog of highly-selective antibodies, assay kits and materials, and conjugates that are compatible with all major instrumentation parameters.
