Purified Mouse Anti-human PD-1 Antibody *AHC0211, Monoclonal, IgG2b*
Programmed cell death protein 1 (Protein PD-1) is a 32 kDa transmembrane protein that can be expressed in the plasma membrane of cells. In humans, protein PD-1 is a negative regulator of apoptotic process, tolerance induction and immune response. But it also acts to positively regulate T cell apoptotic process. Protein PD-1 is thought to be essential to immune response. Sequencing of protein PD-1 has shown it contains 3 types of conserved structural units: extracellular, cytoplasmic and Ig-like V-type domain. Protein PD-1 is thought to be essential to organismal processes, in particular, apoptotic process, adaptive immune response and humoral immune response. Mutations and abnormalities in protein PD-1 have been associated with a number of diseases, namely, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
