Purified Mouse Anti-human/mouse/xenopus RPSA Antibody *RP-01, monoclonal*
40S ribosomal protein SA is a 33 kDa protein that can be located in the plasma membrane, extracellular exosome and cytoplasm of cells. It is also known as Laminin-binding protein precursor p40, Laminin receptor 1 and Colon carcinoma laminin-binding protein. In Homo sapiens,40S ribosomal protein SA is an integral part of organismal processes, in particular, translational initiation, ribosomal small subunit assembly and SRP-dependent cotranslational protein targeting to membrane. It has been closely linked to important functions such as virus receptor and laminin receptor activity. 40S ribosomal protein SA binds with RNA, ribosome and laminin. Mutations and abnormalities in 40S ribosomal protein SA have been thought to be involved with a number of diseases, namely, isolated congenital asplenia. Isolated congenital asplenia, a disorder characterized by abnormality of metabolism/homeostasis, Howell-Jolly bodies and thrombocytosis, has in particular been of interest to researchers.
