Purified Mouse Anti-human IFN γ Antibody *NIB42, monoclonal*
Interferon γ (IFN-gamma) is a 19 kDa protein that can be expressed in the extracellular region and extracellular space of cells. In Homo sapiens, IFN-γ plays an important role in protein ADP-ribosylation, insulin secretion and growth. IFN-gamma is the subject of comprehensive study in part because of the fact that it plays a role in the regulation of interferon-γ-mediated signaling pathway, interferon-γ-mediated signaling pathway and cell surface receptor signaling pathway. IFN-γ binds to interferon-γ receptor. It is a promoter of phagocytosis, gene expression and nitrogen compound metabolic process conversely also acts to negatively regulate gene expression, DNA-templated transcription, and smooth muscle cell proliferation. IFN-gamma aids in organismal processes, namely, humoral immune response, macrophage activation involved in immune response and macrophage differentiation. It has been closely linked to vital functions like cytokine activity. Mutations and abnormalities in IFN-γ have been thought to be involved with a number of diseases, namely, aplastic anemia (AA).
