PE/XFD700 Anti-cow/ human CD46 Antibody *MEM-258, XFD700 Same Structure to Alexa Fluor™ 700*
MEM-258 is an anti-cow/ human monoclonal antibody that targets the CD46 antigen. CD46 (alternatively called Membrane Cofactor Protein) is a 45 - 75 kD transmembrane protein that is expressed on the surface of cells like platelets, macrophages, granulocytes and B cells. CD46 is associated with a variety of biologically interesting macromolecules/ligands, namely, CD29, SCR2/3/4 and CD9. CD46 is a fairly uncommon antibody target, with a little more than 3600 publications in the last decade. Even still, CD46 is vital to cell biology, complement and immunology research, frequently serving as a phenotypic marker for differentiating cell types in flow cytometric applications. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to PE/XFD700 (ex/em = 566/721 nm). XFD700 is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has the same chemical structure of Alexa Fluor® 700 (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of ThermoFisher). It is compatible with the 561 nm laser and 695/40 nm bandpass filter (for example, as in the Agilent Technologies NovoCyte).
