Why is it important in next generation sequencing (NGS)?

  • Normalization reduces noise and generates higher average reads per sample with even more sequencing depth, thus improving the efficiency of NGS. 
  • DNA normalization enhances the accuracy and reliability of downstream analyses such as PCR, protein assays, or sequencing. This reduces the likelihood of clinicians missing key information such as a single nucleotide variation or a rare allele, which could lead to a misdiagnosis.
