Answer
All eukaryotic organisms perform mitosis. It is the key process responsible for the cell growth, repair and renewal in animals, plants, and fungi and occurs continuously in these organisms.
During the process of mitosis, a parent cell divides and splits into two daughter cells that have the same chromosomes as the parent cells. The two daughter cells are genetically identical to the parent cells and to each other.
