1 ppm is a much larger value than 1 ppb. Parts per million and parts per billion may be converted to one another with the following formula: 1 part per million = 1,000 parts per billion. Thus, 1 ppm is exactly 1000 times greater than 1 ppb ( 1 million is a thousand times less than a billion).
