Where is the Golgi apparatus?

Answer
Golgi apparatus is located in the cytoplasm of a eukaryotic cell. It lies right near the nucleus but without touching it. It also lies near the endoplasmic reticulum.
Its proximity to the endoplasmic reticulum has special significance. The substances produced by the endoplasmic reticulum need to be further processed, sorted, and packaged to various places inside and outside the cell. These processes are carried out in the Golgi apparatus. The close proximity of the two organelles makes it easier for the endoplasmic reticulum to transfer the substances to the Golgi apparatus.
