Where are the actin-binding sites located?

Posted November 4, 2022

Answer

Actin-binding sites are located in meromyosin. Actin belongs to the family of globular multifunctional proteins that play a pivotal role in the formation of microfilaments in muscle fibers. Troponin and tropomyosin are the associated proteins found in thin filaments along with actin. However, the binding sites for actin are located in meromyosin
