What should be considered when generating monoclonal antibodies?

There are several things to consider when generating monoclonal antibodies. There should be appropriate precautions taken to not cross-contaminate with other cells.  One must also consider the right types of reagents before generating mAbs. For therapeutic use, a large quantity of mAbs should be generated.
