What is enzyme immobilization?

Answer
Enzyme immobilization is a process in which the mobility of an enzyme or protein is restricted by fixing it to a specific region of space, while still preserving its catalytic activities. This allows the exchange of substrate and product outflow. It also restricts any changes in enzyme conformation due to extreme changes in temperature or pH.
