A dose-response relationship refers to the correlation between the level of exposure to a substance or treatment and the resulting effect or outcome. This relationship can involve either an increase or decrease in the risk or severity of the outcome as the exposure level changes. The dosage can be given intentionally or accidentally to cultured cells, a person, or an animal.
