Answer
Gram-positive bacteria most commonly cause urinary tract infections in elderly and pregnant individuals and in people more susceptible to these infections. Diphtheria, listeriosis, anthrax, and enterococcal infections are caused by gram-positive bacilli. Streptococcal, pneumococcal, and staphylococcal aureus infections are caused by gram-positive cocci.
