What happens if the cell had no cytoplasm?

Posted June 17, 2024

Answer

If a cell had no cytoplasm, it would lack the fluid medium necessary for various cellular processes to occur. The cell would also lose its structural integrity and appear deflated and flattened. Crucial organelles such as the nucleus and mitochondria would have no medium to suspend in. Essentially, the cell would not be able to function at the proper levels necessary for its survival.
