Cofactors and coenzymes are both non-protein molecules that help enzymes catalyze biochemical reactions in cells. Both perform the same functions in that they help enzymes respond and take effect in chemical reactions in the body. Both also control, adjust, and regulate how quickly these reactions respond and take effect in the body.
