What are the similarities between plant cells and animal cells?

Despite the many differences between the two, there are also a few similarities between plant cells and animal cells. Both plant and animal cells are eukaryotic. These are the features that are found in both plant cells and animal cells: 

• A membrane-bound nucleus, which contains the DNA
• A plasma membrane or cell membrane
• Cytoplasm in which other organelles are suspended 
• Nucleolus
• Endoplasmic reticulum (ER)
• Ribosomes
• Mitochondrion
• Golgi bodies or Golgi apparatus
