What are the similarities between plant cells and animal cells?

Despite the many differences between the two, there are also a few similarities between plant cells and animal cells. Both plant and animal cells are eukaryotic. These are the features that are found in both plant cells and animal cells:
- A membrane-bound nucleus, which contains the DNA
- A plasma membrane or cell membrane
- Cytoplasm in which other organelles are suspended
- Nucleolus
- Endoplasmic reticulum (ER)
- Ribosomes
- Mitochondrion
- Golgi bodies or Golgi apparatus
