Posted July 10, 2024

Answer

Tissues are a group of cells that have a similar structure and function, and work together as one unit. There are four types of tissues – Epithelial tissue, Connective tissue, Nervous tissue, and Muscle tissue. Each serves a specific function.

Epithelial Tissue: Covers and protects body surfaces and internal organs, forms glands, and is involved in absorption, secretion, and sensation

Connective Tissue: Provides support and protection and connects various parts of the body together

Nervous Tissue: Receives and transmits messages to the brain and spinal cord, processes information, and controls body functions

Muscle Tissue: Facilitates movement and supports proper posture and alignment of the body
