Additionally, during experiments, genes that are closely related may cause confusion in detection. This is because they can hybridize with spots intended for different genes, leading to inaccurate results (cross-hybridization). Additionally, there is a need for additional printing devices, which in turn increases the overall cost of producing microarrays.
