What are the disadvantages of spotted glass slide microarrays?

Answer
One limitation is that preparing, purifying, and storing DNA solutions before creating the microarrays involves significant amounts of work. Additionally, during experiments, genes that are closely related may cause confusion in detection. This is because they can hybridize with spots intended for different genes, leading to inaccurate results (cross-hybridization). Additionally, there is a need for additional printing devices, which in turn increases the overall cost of producing microarrays.
