Adsorption is an enzyme immobilization technique in which interactions such as hydrophobic forces and salt bridges are used to attach enzymes onto the surface of a solid support material.
Disadvantages of Adsorption:
- Modest yield
- Surface area for enzyme binding is small
- The enzyme gets desorbed from its carrier
