What are examples of active immunity?

Posted November 7, 2023

Answer

Active immunity is a type of immunity that results when a person’s own immune system produces antibodies and mounts an adaptive immune response following direct exposure to an antigen or disease organism. It develops due to the production of antibodies in the body and can develop either naturally or artificially.

Common examples of active immunity include recovery from bacterial infection and immunization of flu, chickenpox, polio, and hepatitis.
