Answer
Immunodiagnostic assays use an antigen-antibody reaction as their primary means of detection. Immunodiagnostics takes the ability of antibodies to recognize and specifically bind to an antigen of interest and applies it in a clinical setting. For example, an immunodiagnostic assay might be used to detect an antigen presented by a tumor or virus found in a blood sample. Immunodiagnostic techniques use complex crude antigens are usually sensitive and easy to perform. The immunodiagnostic techniques include enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), dye dipstick immunoassay (DDIA), and the indirect hemagglutination assay (IHA).
