Purified Mouse Anti-human/mouse/dog βIII-Tubulin Antibody *TU-20, monoclonal*
Tubulin β-3 chain (sometimes called Tubulin β-4 chain or Tubulin β-III) is a protein with a molecular weight of 59 kDa, expressed in the microtubule, filopodium and extracellular exosome of cells. In Homo sapiens, tubulin β-3 chain binds to GTP and netrin receptor. It aids in organismal processes, in particular, mitotic cell cycle, neuron differentiation and microtubule cytoskeleton organization. Tubulin β-3 chain has been thought to be involved with essential functions such as GTPase activity. Tubulin β-3 chain is clinically significant because abnormalities in its function have been closely linked to diseases like cortical dysplasia, complex with other brain malformations 1 (CDCBM1) and congenital fibrosis of extraocular muscles 3A (CFEOM3A). Congenital fibrosis of extraocular muscles 3A, an autosomal dominant inheritancedisorder characterized by superior rectus atrophy and specific learning disability, has in particular been of interest to researchers.
