Estradiol-BSA conjugate
Estradiol is an estrogen steroid hormone and the major female sex hormone. It is also called 17 beta-estradiol. Estradiol is involved in the regulation of the estrous and menstrual female reproductive cycles. It is responsible for the development of female secondary sexual characteristics and important in the development and maintenance of female reproductive tissues and pregnancy. It also has important effects in many other tissues including bone, fat, skin, liver, and the brain. Though estradiol levels in males are much lower compared to those in females, estradiol has important roles in males as well. An estradiol test measures the amount of the hormone estradiol in your blood. It is also called an E2 test. An estradiol test has a number of clinically important applications. Estradiol-BSA conjugate is a convenient building block for developing estradiol antibodies and assays.
