DNP-PEG4 acid
Compared to the commonly used DNP-X acid (#2020), DNP-PEG4 acid has much better water solubility. It is an excellent amine-reactive building block for developing a probe that can be recognized by anti-DNP antibodies. It might be also used as an excellent amine-reactive FRET quencher paired with Trp or Tyr. Its terminal carboxy group readily reacts with primary amines in the presence of EDC and DCC to form stable amide bonds. The hydrophilic PEG linker increases the water solubility of the compound in aqueous media.
